Nathan and his wife Jane counsel together and also lead marriage retreats nationally and internationally. Nathan and Jane were married in 1982 and have two sons. They consistently accept the invitation to meet people in their darkest valleys and walk with them through that difficult place to help them find healing on the other side. A graduate of Berry College in Rome, Georgia, “Sam” received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology Degree in 1996. She worked in a variety of settings that lead her to join the Battlefield Team in the Spring of 2007. Her husband, Adam, has also been actively involved with Battlefield over the years. Adam Nash, Christian Life Coach, has been serving Battlefield Ministries for many years. He and his wife, Samantha, benefited from the solid, biblical counsel they received in Pre-marital counseling with Battlefield nearly 20 years ago. Heather Medley joined Battlefield Ministries in 2012. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Board Certified Coach. Tim Carroll comes to Battlefield Ministries with over 25 years of pastoral care experience working with individuals, couples, families and groups. With a focus on marriage, couples and family counseling, he has a MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Regent University and is currently pursuing licensure as both a Licensed Professional Counselor and Marriage and Family Therapist. Jenny Ackerman, LPC

“Jenny” received her BA degree in art and a master’s degree in educational psychology from Baylor University in Waco, TX. She and her family moved to Rome in the summer of 2014 and she is excited to join the Battlefield team! She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in both Georgia and Texas. Jenny has experience counseling children, adolescents, women of all ages and their families dealing with various issues such as: ADD/ADHD, adjustment issues, anxiety, depression, developmental disorders, divorce and emotional disorders. Chris and Angie Wheelus have been married for over 28 years and enjoy their ever growing family of 4 children, son in law, daughter in law, and 4 grandchildren. Jon Sullivan, PhD

Jon holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Ministry from Andersonville Bible College, a Master of Arts degree in Human Services: Marriage & Family Counseling from Liberty University, and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Human Services: Disaster, Crisis, & Intervention from Walden University. Jeremy Marshall, Therapist Intern

Jeremy received his Bachelors of Arts degree in Bible from CIU (Columbia International University) in Columbia, South Carolina; his MAR in Christian Leadership from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia; and is completing his MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Regent University.

Jeremy and his wife, Stacie, moved to the Rome area in 2006 and have been serving at the WinShape Foundation working with college students for the past 11 years. Learn more about Jeremy.

Morgan Green, Counselor

Morgan is a native of Rome. She received a Bachelor of Science in psychology from Shorter University and a Master of Arts in professional counseling from Liberty university. Morgan is happy she can now provide care to her hometown community as a counselor.

She has a heart for walking alongside women of all ages struggling with an array of difficulties, including anxiety, depression, stress management, life transitions, relationship issues, self-esteem, grief, spiritual struggles, and other women’s issues. Learn more about Morgan.

Moriah Pender, Counselor

Moriah completed her undergraduate degree in psychology at Lee University before attending Richmont Graduate University where she earned her masters degree in Clinical Mental Health with a certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy. She and her husband moved to Rome in the summer of 2018 to serve as youth pastors in the local area.

Moriah is passionate about walking alongside others in their pain with the goal of restoration and healing. Moriah views every client holistically, meaning that a person is made up of an integration of the mind, body, and spirit. Learn more about Moriah.
