Chris and Angie Wheelus have been married for over 28 years and enjoy their ever growing family of 4 children, son in law, daughter in law, and 4 grandchildren. During 10 years they have lived in 7 countries. And they know enough of several languages that would make them good competitors on the Amazing Race.
Chris earned his BS degree in Engineering Technology from Southern Polytechnic State University, and his MDiv from Southwestern Seminary in Ft. Worth, TX, a MAMFT from Richmont Graduate University, and a PhD from the University of GA. As a licensed marriage and family therapist, and counselor, Chris has experience in private practice, inpatient, outpatient, and collegiate mental health dealing with issues such as: anxiety, depression, adjustment issues, marriage issues, vocational concerns, and anger management.
Angie earned her BBA degree in International Business from the University of GA, her MEd, EdS, and EdD from the University of West GA in Professional Counseling and Supervision. As a licensed counselor, Angie has experience working with young adults, military families, and collegiate mental health dealing with issues such as: multicultural issues, trauma, grief, suicidal ideation, life transition issues, anxiety, and depression.
With a desire to see healthy families spreading the message of Christ to families around the world, they joined Battlefield Ministries in 2019. Chris and Angie believe in the power of God to change lives as seen in their family and families around them.
Christ invites us to discover our particular way of being, our special significance, the gift of presence we offer the world. – (David Benner, Soulful Spirituality)
